Position:

Sales – Electrical Applications & Controls Estimator (Inside Sales)

Position Summary:

This candidate will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with the Controls Engineering group for guidance & assistance when applicable for developing control related applications and estimates for projects requiring automation and/or basic control functions.

Daily activities will involve:
– Participation in new sales application meetings with controls scope
– Reading and comprehension of customer provided electrical specifications
– Reading and comprehension of mechanical project scope, machine rates, and function as they relate to controls scope
– Internal and external discussions regarding machine safety systems
– Working closely with PAI vendors to find specialty electrical components, pricing and availability
– Preparing electrical material and labor estimates through PAI quoting system (this will be part of job training)
– Clarifying PAI design intent and expectations to the customer through clear, concise documentation that will be included in the formal quote (formal quote is generated by Inside Sales Mechanical Estimators)
– Direct contact (typically via phone or web meetings) with customers electrical engineering resources to clarify design intent or review what PAI has quoted

Basic Requirements:
– 3 to 5 years of direct experience with conveyor, packaging machines or related industry
– Experience or strong knowledge of simple and/or complex conveyor systems as well as many different types of specialty devices
– Ability to read and understand CAD drawings (electrical and mechanical is required)
– Knowledge or Use Of:
– Rockwell Automation Products, PLCs, Drives, HMIs, Motion Controllers
– Sensors, Interlocks, Push Buttons, Special & Safety Switches
– Panel Components, Terminals, Fusing, Power Supplies, Contactors.
– Wire & Cable Management
– UL 508 Requirements
– Proficient with MS Office products
– Strong communication skills, both verbal & written

Salary Range will be dependent on applicants experience
